Things I learned this weekend

On Friday we had our Relief Society Retreat at a beautiful cabin up in Midway.  I have the bestest ward ever!  We had so much fun.  Dutch oven dinner, karaoke, skits and wonderful talks by the bishopric's wives.

Erin and I decided to sleep outside- sans tent.  Our powers of persuasion are amazing and we convinced 4 other people to join us on the deck (there wasn't a yard).  After singing our guts out we retired outside.  It was beautiful!  I saw two shooting stars!  Yeah!  So, we hunker down for the night.  About 4:30 it starts raining.  It was just a little drizzle so we tried to power through.  Mother Nature had something else in mind and it started pouring about 5 minutes later.  So we hauled our stuff inside and since EVERY available spot was taken- I ended up sleeping under the kitchen table.  Random, I know.  Not much sleeping occurred in either place.

The Anderson Girls

After a quick trip to the mall Saturday afternoon (I felt like a teenager just chillin at the mall on the weekend).  I went to see Kung-Fu Panda at the drive-in.  I haven't been
to a drive-in for so long!  It was a lot of fun and I highly recommend everyone to see that movie.

Anyway, on to the real purpose of this blog: Things I learned this weekend

1) The sure fire way to power up a karaoke party is by singing 'Bohemian Rhapsody'
2) The sure fire way to kill a party is to sing 'My Heart Will Go On'
3) A lot of people in Utah have obnoxiously huge hair
4) Heather Anderson is the best dancer I know (see above video)
5) I'm glad that I know the CERT's (and I may or may not be a little jealous of them)
6) I rock at 'Wanted Dead or Alive' on Rock Band
7) I want to have a cabin in the mountains someday
8) Fortune Teller is still one of the best games to ever play
9) If you try to switch movies at a drive-in, they will kick you out
10) Few things make me happier than the perfect batch of Orange Chicken from Panda Express
11) I'm desperately lame at blogging

So... maybe this whole blog thing will be extremely boring, but- it could be shockingly exciting as well!  You never know.  I can't promise anything, but I'll try to update this often.  Anyway, welcome to my blog.
